BME - Student Clubs, Chapters & Association

Established in 2021, TEKMEDICA is the core club for Biomedical Engineering students at SRMIST, dedicated to advancing digital healthcare technologies and addressing real-world healthcare challenges. The club provides a dynamic platform for students to innovate, learn, and collaborate on developing biomedical devices and solutions. Aligned with India’s vision of a digitally empowered nation, TEKMEDICA promotes inclusivity, accessibility, and societal impact through technology-driven healthcare initiatives. We have organized several impactful events, including guest lectures by industry experts from healthcare firms and workshops on embedded programming, Python, and healthcare innovation have equipped students with hands-on experience and practical skills.

The club has also hosted hackathons, coding competitions, and open-house exhibitions, community outreach programs, such as health camps in nearby villages under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, have further demonstrated TEKMEDICA’s commitment to societal well-being. Looking ahead, TEKMEDICA aims to expand its scope by securing funding for unique projects, pursuing patents, and fostering consultancy opportunities, solidifying its role as a leading force in biomedical
